Deadbabes.us takes credit as the first FREE goth chick site on the internet. There were lots of impersonators, but Deadbabes was the real deal. Real chicks with real pics. Oh-and no nudity, also! In the age of Suicide Girls, the name Dead Babes (originally two separate words, later melded into one) took on the goth/emo chick/punk thing so popular when the site went live in April of 2005. The name Dead Babes was originally a term my friends and I used as teenagers, to define super hot chicks-ie: "she was so hot, you'd die from looking at her"

Deadbabes shed it's .us domain in 2009 and became a much more mainstream site, called Alt Model World. That name and big change, unfortunately, would mean the end of a 5 year love affair with the Deadbabes. We lost our identity and and we lost our place on the net. Add that to the fact that sites, MySpace.com and Facebook.com were fast becoming the places to be on the internet (where pics of hot chicks were free, plentiful and mostly uncensored) and Deadbabes had no choice but to disappear. Deadbabes closed it's doors in December 2009.

Most Deadbabes models went their separate ways. Some stayed on with me through other projects including Prettywasted-and some have disappeared from the modeling scene entirely. Deadbabes began as a place for non models and started more than a couple of modeling careers.

I look back at my time with Deadbabes fondly. I miss it. At times I'm tempted to start it up all over again. It was fun, it was sexy, it was snuggly and secure. It's like an old girlfriend calling for a booty call when you're long married. It's nice to think about, but you've moved on. You're different. The girls are different. We've all grown and matured.

For those who wax nostalgic about Deadbabes (and for those who are just finding out about it), I present to you now photos of the TOP 10 HOTTEST DEADBABES EVER!

These photos are in order of appearance on the website. This is not a 1-10 beauty list. All the DB's fit the bill of being extremely hot. There was no way to number them.

2005

Inamourada Flux

British beauty, Inamourada Flux was one of the first five models on the site. I found her on Live Journal (remember them?) and sent her an email asking her to join Dead Babes. There was no nudity on Deadbabes. Good thing. I don't think I would have been able to get Flux to come aboard had there been. The amazingly sexy, Brit was a good girl. Flux was contributing HOT pics at such a rate (and of such high quality, for the time) that she quickly became Deadbabes first Cover Babe. Flux stayed with us for 2005 and part of 2006 when her and I had an argument concerning the site. She wanted to leave. Flux began what I have called "The Deadbabes Curse" (The site has lost every cover model it had since) We chatted through an email in 2007, but we lost touch again. I believe she is out of modeling, now, but I'm not sure. I've always wished her well.

Demon

This chick was destined for greatness. Not only a stunning beauty, but a big help to the site as far as submissions, graphics, ideas, etc. Born in the nation's smallest state, there was no way RI would cage this feisty, intelligent, articulate, creature. For 2005, she was as Dead Babes as a Dead Babe could get. She lied about her age to get on board (she was just 16 at the time) Demon left the site around 2008 to concentrate on acting. I believe she is doing just that, in the southern US. Demon's departure from Deadbabes was a crushing blow to the site. We recovered, but I wasn't happy without her. Demon was a Dead Babes security blanket. She's greatly missed.

Razor Blade Kisses

Florida born, Razor Blade Kisses was one of the first 10 Deadbabes. She came to us in May 2005 with a head full of attitude and looks that made dead men sweat. RBK was so impressive, she became the second cover model for the website. She was the only chick on the site who could email me and say "Joey, you're doing it wrong. Get the fuck out of my way and let me do it." I didn't mess with RBK.

Unfortunately, in 2008, she wasn't happy with the direction the site was heading and she was even unhappier with the model selection process.  She chose to leave the site (proving the Inamourada Flux Deadbabes Curse was real!) Later in 2009, RBK came back to AltModelWorld.com for a brief stay until we shut our doors late last year. We haven't been in contact,but we remain friends.

Fetish Fatale

I don't see this chick as much as I'd like to. She's on/off/on as a Prettywasted model, but this wife and full time mom is busy raising two kids (one being lucky husband Josh) and going to school.

The hot Texan came to Deadbabes in May of 2005 and right away took her place on the site with her (mostly dark) digital sets. Her hair was LOTS shorter and she wore lots of black-including her makeup. Fetish Fatale also had the distinction of having one of the hottest behinds I'd ever seen appear on the site. Back then, unfortunately, she didn't show it off as much as I would have liked. (Fortunately, for the internet world, FF has finally taken the hint and is showing off the booty these days! :)

Although a Google search for Fetish Fatale will reveal a Las Vegas porn star, rest assured that is not OUR Fetish Fatale. Ours is the 100% original version. These days FF is modeling in her spare time and has recently taken an interest in reforming her vision of the Deadbabes. Results have yet to be seen, but I'm looking forward to any kind of creation she may have in mind.

Nicole Birmingham

Former Illinois Deadbabe, firey red-head, blue eyed, Nicole Birmingham was the 3rd Prettywasted Cover Babe. Nicole came to us in June 2005 and soon became the top pic contributor. After the departure of Razor Blade Kisses, (above) Nicole became model #3 to take the cover.  Did Nicole become a victim of the Deadbabes curse? Yes, she did. There was no falling out with me or the site, however. Nicole left (most of the internet) at the request of her fiancee' in early2007. It was nothing personal against Deadbabes.

Babette

Italian Deadbabe, Babette, quickly took her place among the Deadbabes elite in 2005. Babette was a never-ending supply of hot photos and visitors to her pages on Deadbabes. This amazing talent was an asset to the site and a total sweetheart to everyone.

I haven't been in touch with Babbete recently. I'll have to look her up and see if she's interested in Prettywasted.com. Hmmmm.....do they stoned in Italy? I'm guessing yes!

2006

Malicious Envy

2006 began an amazing year for both the site and Deadbabes models.

In the Fall of 2006, I was searching for a girl kissing girl set. The reason? Being a non-nude site had it's drawbacks. I had to constantly reinvent the site to keep traffic flowing steady. Google was a confusing mess at the time and to stay high in the search engines, I tried to come up with an all out creative way to stay high in the search engines. I thought a "girl kissing girl" set just might do it.

I received an email from a 19 year old Malicious Envy who told me that she'd not only get it done, but she'd get it done "this week" And she did.

An aspiring, beautiful, sexy San Jose, CA. model, single mom of a toddler and openly gay woman, Malicious Envy's career was born on a small shared internet server on a website named Deadbabes.us.

Malicious Envy became a Deadbabes fanatic. She ate, drank and slept, Deadbabes. Self edited sets appeared almost everyday in my mailbox. I was Envy overloaded and I was loving it. The photos were great. Malicious Envy has an amazing face. It wasn't long before this girl became official cover baby for the site.  Envy has a knack for the cover position. She knows what to do. This chick was born with it. Malicious Envy was the very last cover chick we had. This model went down with her ship.

Malicious Envy and I remain friends. Whenever I see her face (even on this site) I think of Deadbabes. She became the only Deadbabes Model to become synonymous with the website. I don't think she minds it a bit. In fact, I believe she's quite proud of her past with Deadbabes.

Luna-the Great Moon Goddess

When I first saw Luna in 2006, I was completely blown away. The (then) almost 38 year old, long time magazine, media, turned internet- model sent photos into Deadbabes.

Luna was the inspiration for Lady Gaga

We were frozen over solid with coolness after Luna took her place among the deadest babes anyone has ever seen assembled into one place. The sets Luna submitted ranged from the mild to the insane. Luna wears very little clothing. Luna needs very little clothing.  The transplanted Floridian, (via PA,USA) lives with her husband and their rats. No really.....fucking rats. Luna pops by  MySpace once in awhile to say hello. If you see her around the net, tell her she's missed!

Aiyana Nicole

Joining Deadbabes in late 2006 was completely unknown, 18 year old, Oklahoma-born model, Aiyana Nicole. Aiyana had received one of my infamous invites via MySpace and decided to join up with the Deadbabes. She didn't know it at the time, but this decision would lead to two very important shifts in the Deadbabes rhthym.

1.) It would get rid of the alt/goth stigma that had plagued us since the beginning

2.) It would embark this model on an unstoppable modeling career that continues today.

Also, please let me add....this Aiyana's ass is so fine, if she were a bottle of ketchup, I'd flip her over and spank her bottom.

The (then) very blonde, Aiyana Nicole submitted some less than quality digital pics, but for Deadbabes, the extremely beautiful model was pure gold. Aiyana Nicole had found a home to begin her career.

Over the 3 and a half years that followed, Aiyana (although involved in numerous projects) contributed loyally to the website. Aiyana Nicole became the one to be like.  High quality, professional shoots, mixed like oil and water with the digi pics others were contributing. Aiyana Nicole became the one to watch.

She was so respected and loved, she became an important part of the shift to the Alt Model World domain, by becoming the site's website manager.

She's truly a very cool, very sexy, chick.

Aiyana Nicole is currently pregnant with her second child. She also has a daughter.

You'll see her in Playboy someday. Say you knew her when she was a Deadbabe.

2007

Seraphim

Seraphim came along in 2007. I had seen her in a shoot she did with neighbor, Aiyana Nicole.  Aiyana thought she was awesome, so she invited her to be on the site. I'd say at this point, Deadbabes was at it's peak. Seraphim filled out whatever may have been lacking.  Another Deadbabe truly loved by one and all. Seraphim graciously donated picture after picture, theme after theme and comment after comment. I never knew what to expect from her.

Seraphim eventually became the talent manager for the site. It was her job to insure that applying models for the site were hot. An extremely tough gig. Seraphim loved Deadbabes and stayed with us until the bitter-sweet end.

I hope to speak to Seraphim soon about appearing on this site. Her and husband Michael are expecting their first child in just 3 weeks (as of this writing)
